ABOUT

Fran is originally from Naples, Florida, but relocated to the Hendersonville area about 16 years ago. Veech grew up in the Northeast, and his business career took him far and wide internationally with his final stint in Zurich prior to retirement. Fran was an elementary school educator focusing on the primary to first grade set and, most recently, taught at Etowah Elementary School. Veech was involved in consumer product marketing and international affiliate management for multiple well known companies. Today, this couple calls Burge Mountain in Hendersonville home where they have lived for the past 10 years.

HOBBIES

Both avid volunteers, Veech and Fran are active members involved in the leadership at Grace Mills River congregation as well as other volunteer organizations in local areas. Veech is busy honing and perfecting his golf game and keeping fit while spinning on his stationary bike. Fran enjoys yard work… future community garden fan…hiking and decorating. However, the couple acknowledges that their greatest joy comes from spending time with their children and grandchildren!

SURPRISED TO KNOW

This couple met online!
Also, Veech was a former National Park Ranger at the Cape Cod National Seashore during his college years!

WHY LEGACY?

Both Fran and Veech had parents and older generation relatives who experienced difficult end-of-life situations due to not having proper plans in place. So this couple elected to decide to do their care planning at an early stage in order to ensure that their children were not in a position to make difficult decisions regarding their future care. Another pivotal attraction to Legacy was the equity model that allowed them to manage their home with the flexibility of buying, renting and selling at their discretion. The state of the art new construction paired with a familiar location and its ideal access to shopping, highways and outdoor attractions helped to seal the deal!

FUTURE AT LEGACY

Veech and Fran are looking forward to the excitement of being part of a new large community where they will make new friends while aiding in shaping the culture and energy of Legacy at Mills River.
