Anne and Rod currently live on the Gulf side of Florida in beautiful Marco Island. While they both grew up in North Dakota, they lived in Michigan for 15 years and then Rockford IL for 30 years.

Anne was a registered nurse for 15 years before becoming a real estate agent until her retirement.

Rod is an Electrical Engineer who worked in manufacturing for 25 years before starting Rj Link International, his own manufacturing company.

Anne and Rod both enjoy golf, bocce, hiking, traveling and card playing.

Anne also likes to bring out her creative side with pottery. Rod likes to go fishing and looks forward to experimenting with woodworking.

Anne and Rod knew each other for less than a year when they got married.

Rod attended a one room country school for the first 8 years of his education.

Legacy checks all the boxes the Links were looking for in a CCRC community.  They want to be part of an active, engaged community where they can develop new friendships while aging in a healthy, stimulating environment. Already excited by the people they’ve met, they are looking at this move as another beginning in their life journey.

Anne and Rod are committed to developing friendships and providing community service.

Janet & Ann

Janet & Ann met in a yoga class over a decade ago and were married on the day the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the Obergefell v. Hodges case.

Barbara and Paul

While Barbara and Paul have enjoyed living in downtown Charleston, SC, they will not miss the growing threat of hurricanes, tidal flooding and the various impacts of climate change when they move to Legacy.
