Janet & Ann
Janet & Ann met in a yoga class over a decade ago and were married on the day the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the Obergefell v. Hodges case.
George’s professional career has been in supply chain management, mostly with GE. He moved to Asheville in 2004 from Mocksville NC. He currently has a home in North Asheville with space enough for his six sports cars! He tried retirement but decided it just wasn’t for him, so he went to work for Jaguar Land Rover Asheville initially part-time in 2018 and then full time in 2020. One of his children lives in the area and is CMO – Chief Manufacturing Officer – and co-owner of DJ’s Pickles in Fletcher.
British sports cars and related events are a major interest for George. He likes being active – tennis, swimming, and some bicycling are favorite pastimes.
George emigrated from Hungary to Switzerland with his parents when he was just a one-year-old. Four years later, in 1951, the family moved to the U.S. He grew up in New York City.
Another Founding Guild member friend first introduced George to Legacy. Legacy’s location, planned amenities and the opportunity to make new friends, all helped his decision to plan for his next move.
George looks forward to meeting other residents who share his interests, like to banter and have fun!
