ABOUT

Both Cindy and Fred grew up in Asheville. After leaving for college and living in Chapel Hill, Charlotte and Winston-Salem, they returned to Asheville 26 years ago. Fred was President of the Western Region of BB&T Bank and after retirement from the bank, now works part-time with Boys Arnold Wealth Management Company. Cindy was an Alumni Director and worked in development at Salem Academy and College in Winston-Salem.

HOBBIES

Cindy enjoys the creative pursuits of writing, painting and reading. Fred is a sports and reading enthusiast. They both enjoy time with friends and family, including their three daughters and six grandchildren.

SURPRISED TO KNOW

Cindy recently wrote, illustrated and published a children’s book! And she has a second book underway.

WHY LEGACY?

The Groces like the Legacy equity model, the beautiful natural setting with the goal of preserving trees and the current landscape, and the planned smaller size of the community compared to other local options.

FUTURE AT LEGACY

Cindy and Fred are looking forward to joining new neighbors in many interesting and fun activities including out on the walking trails. They are already impressed with the energy and enthusiasm of other residents and will look for ways to contribute some of their background experiences and expertise to the Legacy community.
