ABOUT
A mutual interest in animal and environmental issues brought Judy and Jim together after growing up on the two coasts – Judy in Washington state and Jim in Massachusetts. At the time they met, Judy was a volunteer for a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Macon GA and found herself specializing in raising/releasing orphaned or injured squirrels. Earlier she had been the environmental educator for the island of Guam and taught mass communication in GA. Jim was retired after 27 years from the Air Force followed by a career as a financial planner. The Pierce’s have two adorable Bichon Frises – Bailey and Lulu. They were involved in Bichon Frises rescue for a number of years. They have lived in Brevard since 2013. Judy is the author of three children’s books featuring a white squirrel: Ozette’s Destiny, Ozette’s Heartstone and Princess Stacy’s Magical Adventure.
