Janet & Ann
Janet & Ann met in a yoga class over a decade ago and were married on the day the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the Obergefell v. Hodges case.
As a child Helen moved quite a bit – Connecticut, NY, Kentucky and Pennsylvania but for the last 52 years she’s called Richmond, VA home. Her professional career was as an Executive Assistant at an advertising agency.
You can often find Helen outside gardening, walking and hiking. Inside she enjoys reading.
Helen confesses that this question has her stumped but says if she thinks of something it will be a surprise to her too!
After considering a couple of CCRC’s in Richmond and then several in the Asheville area, as the result of encouragement from friends who recently moved to Hendersonville, Helen found Legacy. And she stopped looking. The mountains, the equity model, the ability to choose a floorplan and have some design input all made Legacy the winner in her search for her next residence.
Helen looks forward to meeting new people, plugging into the community and seeing where that leads.

While Barbara and Paul have enjoyed living in downtown Charleston, SC, they will not miss the growing threat of hurricanes, tidal flooding and the various impacts of climate change when they move to Legacy.
