Janet & Ann
Janet & Ann met in a yoga class over a decade ago and were married on the day the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the Obergefell v. Hodges case.
In 2003 the Funks moved from Lincolnshire, IL to Hendersonville, NC. Bob was an actuary and Bea was a homemaker, and occasionally worked part-time at their daughters’ high school.
Bea and Bob both love to travel and are very happy when they have a book in their hands. Bob likes to garden. Bea especially enjoys time with their grandchildren.
It can be hard to find the Funks at home because they travel so often.
Three things about Legacy were especially attractive to Bea and Bob: the beautiful setting, the amenities and the continuing care plan. They know that downsizing is in their future and Legacy seems the right move for them.

While Barbara and Paul have enjoyed living in downtown Charleston, SC, they will not miss the growing threat of hurricanes, tidal flooding and the various impacts of climate change when they move to Legacy.
