ABOUT

Allen and Anna met online 12 years ago and have been each other’s soulmates ever since. They’ve been splitting their time between Sarasota FL and Hendersonville NC.

Anna grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and lived in Chicago for 10 years while earning her doctoral degree in Psychology, before moving to Sarasota. Before retirement Anna worked in the business world, non-profit mental health agencies and then in private practice both in Chicago and Sarasota, FL. During the last 10 years she incorporated sports psychology into her practice.

Allen grew up in Cincinnati OH and has spent the last 35 years in Sarasota. Allen worked in all facets of the law beginning in the US Air Force, followed by private practice work in Venice FL doing estate planning, wills, and trusts. He’s also spent a great deal of his life having rental properties that he not only managed but also remodeled himself.

HOBBIES

Anna and Allen both began golfing 5 years ago and have loved the sport; especially the social aspect of it. Lately they have both taken up Pickleball.

Anna is an avid tennis player and hiker. She loves design, both interior and exterior, and gardening.

Allen enjoys finances, coin collecting and can fix or remodel just about anything in a house. One of his past hobbies was goldsmithing and silversmithing. He has created and designed many unique pieces over the years, as well as teaching the craft.

SURPRISED TO KNOW

Anna’s love and passion for many sports began early in life and she actually played semi-pro softball right out of high school.

Allen was a pilot for ‘fun’ at one point in his life.

WHY LEGACY

Anna and Allen’s love of the mountains in NC and the beautiful weather with the change of seasons made Legacy an easy choice. They love the idea of living in a new development where they can design and choose all the elements of their new home.

In addition, they like the variety of activities that will be available, the convenience of the services to be offered, and the peace of mind that living at Legacy will provide for years to come. They love that other residents are already welcoming them and that a community of friends is being built.

FUTURE AT LEGACY

The Browns are enjoying meeting like-minded active people with a wide range of experiences, talents and interests. They are looking forward to sharing their life experiences with many new friends. And to being active with the Pickleball group, some of the arts, as well as gardening committees.
