ABOUT
Neil and Mary are retired educators who taught Physical Education, in addition to coaching and serving in athletic administration positions. They lived in Centereach, LI, NY working for area school districts for over 30 years. They retired to Connestee Falls, Brevard, NC nearly 25 years ago.
HOBBIES
Travel is high on their list of things they like to do. They’ve had wonderful experiences all over the world, from Africa to Australia and beyond. They both like to be outside – hiking, walking, gardening and especially golfing. You can often find Neil attending sporting events – he is a fan of all sports and levels of play! Baseball may be his favorite, however, as he has an enormous collection of baseball cards and other sport memorabilia.
SURPRISED TO KNOW
Neil was an accomplished soccer player playing on one Pan American cycle and two USA National Olympic soccer teams! Mary was employed as an Athletic Administrator on Long Island, NY in the South Huntington School District.
WHY LEGACY?
Beautiful living to health care will all be at our doorstep. The location of the Legacy Community in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains while having access to the arts, concerts and outdoor opportunities make the Legacy location especially appealing. The fantastic developers and staff at all levels helped us feel secure in our decision.
