ABOUT

Originally from Chicago, Marlene and her late husband, Denny, moved to Asheville from VA in 2005. They first lived in Biltmore Lake for 10 years and then moved to Thoms Estate in north Asheville, where she currently resides.

Professionally, Marlene worked as an office manager for a neuro-clinical psychologist.

HOBBIES

High on Marlene’s hobby list are playing pickleball and walking daily with her 83-pound English lab, Wrigley. She also enjoys golf. She likes to maintain her health through healthy nutrition and activities including weight training.

SURPRISED TO KNOW

Denny traveled all over the world while working for the Federal Government/FEMA. A particularly memorable experience was being inside the nuclear reactor in Chernobyl, Russia.

WHY LEGACY?

Marlene says peace of mind for herself and her four children is a motivation for making Legacy her future home. The restaurant options and performing arts center are especially appealing, in addition to the security of health care options on site. Most important is that everyone will be new moving in, a unique aspect to Legacy.
