ABOUT
Sandy has lived in Silicon Valley, a collection of towns south of San Francisco and hub of the California high tech industry for over 40 years. A San Francisco native, Sandy grew up in the Bay area with brief forays to Southern California for college and up to Oregon in the ‘70’s.
Prior to retirement Sandy was a CFO working for technology companies. She took a couple of companies public prior to the dot.com bust in 2000. For the last 15 years of her career, she worked as a consultant for emerging tech companies, helping them build their finance and administration functions, raising capital and managing acquisitions.
HOBBIES
Sandy is an avid cyclist and also likes to hike and swim. During COVID shelter in place, she learned how to knit and has been keeping friends and family in scarves, sweaters and hats for the last several years.
SURPRISED TO KNOW
Sandy was a handweaver during the 70’s but she and her ex-husband found building handweaving looms was a much better way to earn a living.
WHY LEGACY
Sandy has been looking for the right community for about 5 years, checking out California, the Pacific Northwest, etc. Legacy’s stunning setting and beautiful amenities along with getting to pick out a home and make it her own were major attractions.
As a natural introvert, Sandy was drawn to the idea of a new community where everyone will be getting to know each other at the same time.
FUTURE AT LEGACY
Sandy has volunteered to co-chair the Outdoor activity committee and hopes this will afford her the opportunity to get to know everyone while working together to create an active and inclusive community.
