While Rhonda is a native North Carolinian, Rob is from Westchester County, NY originally. Rhonda’s professional life was in financial services and insurance ultimately retiring from her work with United Healthcare. Rob worked as a biologist in Oregon before settling back in his home state of New York where he was an environmental engineer for NY State DEC. They lived for 26 years in New York and then moved to Connestee Falls where they resided for 5 years. Today, their home is in downtown Brevard where they continue to savor the beauty of Western North Carolina.
The TOTAL outdoorsman, Rob has a love of mountain biking, hiking, camping and bow hunting…AND, we will be sure to see him enjoying the lake on the Legacy site as he also loves to go fishing. Rumor has it, he may be able to relay some great “fish tales”… and it will be up to the listener to decipher the true from the perhaps “embellished”! Another one of Rob’s side hobbies is having fun in the kitchen creating delicious dishes!
Rhonda is a member of the Board of Directors for the Mountain School of Strings in Brevard. She plays the piano and the violin… and is working to expand her musical expertise to include the cello! Her spare time also includes constructing ROKR 3D wooden models with all their intricacies and steady hand requirements. Finally, the couple adores loving and caring for their Yorkie, Zoe.
SURPRISED TO KNOW
Upon meeting Rhonda, a surprising fun fact about her is that she has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a Gold Medalist in the National Championships!! Great talent in that small stature!
Regarding Rob, he was one of the many brave souls that participated as an Emergency Responder at Ground Zero during the 9/11 investigation.
AND… As a couple, these two lived “off the grid” in a solar barn conversion home for 16 years in the mid-Hudson Valley!
Rob and Rhonda have many neighbors from Brevard who are also electing to make Legacy their future home! In addition, they love the area and the proximity to Brevard is a big plus.
FUTURE AT LEGACY
