About Legacy

Legacy at Mills River will be the first new Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) to be built in Western North Carolina in over twenty years. When open, more than 350 senior adults will have the opportunity to continue to enjoy the benefits and independence of home ownership, while living hassle-free in an aged-restricted community with access to private, licensed home care, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing if needed.  The luxurious amenities on this 112-acre campus include everything from a state-of-the-art Health Center, five dining venues, movie theater and performing arts center, a Fitness Center and Spa to pickleball courts, dog park, community gardens and a lake.

Legacy is accepting 10% fully-refundable reservation deposits to select a home.  Home prices begin at $500,000, with a wide selection of homes still available.  Legacy plans to open in late 2024 – early 2025.
