Sales and Design Centers Open the Doors

Legacy at Mills River, a joint effort between Beverly-Grant, Inc. and Retirement Living Associates is setting a new precedent in continuing-care retirement communities: Legacy combines the power of deeded home ownership with the security of a full continuum of healthcare. 

By opening its doors to the community on May 11th and May 18th, Legacy is offering the opportunity to preview their new site.  Legacy’s 112 acres is located between Valley View and Jeffress Roads, off Butler Bridge Road.

This development has been a long-time coming, as the need for quality senior care in Western North Carolina has increased, and so have baby boomer expectations.  With long waiting lists at other area communities, Legacy is filling the need in more ways than one.

Legacy will bring approximately 250 jobs in various fields, from healthcare professionals to facilities management and hospitality.  This development, with over 320 homes, will be an economic stimulus to Mills River and the tri-county area.

Money isn’t the only green aspect of Legacy at Mills River.  With a careful plan in place that preserves natural green space, Legacy is committed to environmental responsibility.  Building for LEED certification is a high priority and so is using local vendors for materials. 

For Legacy at Mills River to officially open its doors, they need seniors to commit to their mission.  In this recovering economy, Legacy is optimistic about its future; they are certain Western North Carolina needs Legacy at Mills River.
